Debra is the wife and business partner of Dr. Carlos R. Ruiz. She and Dr. Ruiz moved to Lake Havasu City last year after vacationing here for the past 30 years. Debra is a retired law enforcement officer.
After the sale of their private dental office in Orange County, California, Debra and Dr. Ruiz spent last year practicing retirement living in Lake Havasu City.
They decided to get back into dentistry, but only if they could provide dental services in a day spa atmosphere where their patients' comfort came first.
In their new dental office, paraffin hand wax treatments, snuggly blankets, aroma therapy, back and neck pillows and massage dental chairs are only a few of the complimentary patient amenities.
Debra's concept of a dental spa began to take shape and opened their doors on August 1st. “The response from the community has been overwhelming, patients understand and enjoy this new way of dentistry,” says Debra. Monica, Patient Services Manager

Monica comes to our office with over 30 years of dental experience as a Registered Dental Assistant working in both back and front office positions.
Monica handles all patient's accounts including dental insurance claims. She is our dental insurance guru!
Monica and her husband Pat moved to Lake Havasu over 4 years ago. They were long time weekenders in Lake Havasu before deciding to make the final move. They love every day living in our fine city. She and Pat have 4 children and 6 grandchildren. They enjoy camping, boating and family gatherings.
Monica's says she is still amazed with the science of dentistry even after all these years.

Andrea "Andy", Dental Assistant

Andy comes to our office with 2 years of dental assisting experience.
Andy is a life time resident in Lake Havasu. Andy and her boyfriend, Ben have two great danes named Reba and Jake. They are enjoying their first home and completing home improvement projects. We tease in the office that Andy knows everyone in Lake Havasu or at least it seems so.
Andy says the favorite part of her dental career is when a patient loves their new smile. |
Jenni, Registered Dental Assistant

Jenni comes to our office with 10 years of dental assisting experience.
Jenni has lived in Lake Havasu for years and she is enjoying her newly purchased home. Jenni and her husband, Nick, a life time resident of Lake Havasu, have a two year old son. They enjoy family times and watching their son grow.
Jenni says her favorite part of dentistry is getting patients to overcome their fear of the dentist.

Kiersten, Dental Assistant

Kiersten comes to our office with two years of dental assisting experience.
Kiersten has lived in Lake Havasu for 12 years with her husband, Jeffree and their 7 year old daughter. Kiersten and her family enjoying camping and fishing.
Kiersten's favorite part of dentistry is helping patients complete their necessary dental work in comfort. |
Bianca, Registered Dental Hygienist

Bianca comes to our office with one year of experience in dental hygiene. Bianca has completed an externship in dental laser technology and she is certified to treat cold sores, cancer sores, and gum tissue affected by periodontal disease. She is the only hygienist to hold this certification in Northern Arizona.
Bianca just purchased her first home and is having fun decorating and getting to know her neighbors.
Bianca is enjoying her new dental career after 4 long years of college to obtain her licensing. She says she enjoys her patients and all aspects of dental hygiene. |
Brandee, Registered Dental Assistant EF

Brandee comes to our office with over 10 years of dental assisting experience. She holds certification in expanded functions in a dental office.
Brandee moved to Lake Havasu from Florida this year and is getting settled in to her home with her 3 children.Brandee and her family enjoy off road adventures and family times.
Brandee enjoys calming patients fear of the dental environment with her sweet southern charm. |

Brenda comes to our office with over 10 years of dental assisting experience. Brenda worked as a dental assistant for many years in the prison system.
Brenda and her husband, Jake enjoy living in Lake Havasu. They have two dogs and enjoying spending time with them.

Anna comes to our office with 15 years of dental experience. Anna has worked all aspects of the dental environment. Anna is currently assisting patients with scheduling appointments.
Anna is engaged and will be married in October 2008. She has a daughter and soon several step children. She enjoys church activities and socializing with friends. Anna enjoys travel and quiet family times. |

Annette comes to our office after several years working in the real estate industry.
She has lived in Lake Havasu for many years. Annette is enjoying her first new vehicle. While not at work, Annette is very active in her church.
Annette is enjoying her new dental career and likes to assists patients with their treatment plans. |
Liz, Registered Dental Hygienist

Liz was a classmate of Bianca in the graduating class of Mohave Community College Dental Hygiene School in May 2007.
Liz is also speaks fluent Spanish.
She and her husband have an infant son.
Liz enjoys educating her patients on how to maintain healthy teeth and gums at home. |
Nida, Registered Dental Hygienist

Nida recently moved to Lake Havasu from Connecticut and has been a hygienist for over 15 years. She is licensed in Connecticut, Pennsylvania and Arizona!
Her husband is employed by Hospice of Havasu. They are getting settled into the community.
Nida enjoys most about her dental career is providing excellent oral hygiene and preventative care. |

Sherry and her husband Rob moved to Lake Havasu four years ago from Southern California. They met Carlos and Debra a few years back when they both had vacation homes on the same street in Lake Havasu. Since that time, they both have moved from that street yet they have remained close friends.
Sherry now works in their dental office. Sherry and Rob just completed construction on their new home in Lake Havasu.
Sherry's favorite part of her job is taking the business burdens away from Carlos and Debra so they can give more of their attention to their patients. |
